Posted on by Unity For Equality

This week, one of our press associates interviewed a group of strangers and asked them questions related to the impact of the coronavirus pandemic on their daily lives.

Note: The answers are provided by anonymous sources.

Q: What has been the impact of COVID-19 on your life?

A: The fun part is that we can work and study at home. The downside is that it increased our fear of uncertainty.

A: COVID-19 impacted my life in many aspects. Most notably, I was able to take time to reflect on myself and find new passions and interests while helping around my home. I found ways I can use my talents and skills to help others and care for them in a different manner.

Q: What are some of the challenges you have faced during COVID-19?

A: Buying food online, hanging out with friends online, working online, helping each of my children to find a quiet place to do online school, making sure that everyone was well fed and did their daily responsibilities while I was quarantining myself, and losing the ability of taste and smell for a short period of time.

A: During COVID-19, challenges include online learning, social distancing, adjusting to wearing a mask, and spending less time with friends in person.

Q: What advice would you give to others to keep their spirits up during the pandemic?

A: Remember, no one knows what could happen in the next second. No one knows when he/she is going to die. Please put your trust in the one true God because He is the only one who controls your life. He is the way, the truth, and the life. Once you repent and believe, indescribable love and peace will fill your hearts because you will know that you are in good hands.

A: One thing that helped me during the pandemic was to find new hobbies and ways of entertainment to keep myself occupied during my free time.

Q: What has been the most significant change in your daily life since the pandemic started?

A: Our family started to trust in God more than before. The result of that was that our family started to love each other more, say sorry to each other more, be compassionate to each other more and study God’s word more.

A: The most significant change in my daily life since the pandemic was to watch my physical and mental health. I started looking after myself more and keeping up a positive mentality throughout quarantine.

Q: What do you miss the most from pre-pandemic life?

A: Nothing. I am very thankful that God has given me the chance to see His glory during this pandemic. He has changed our lives and helped us fix our eyes on Him.

A: I missed the time I was able to spend with my friends and interact with them pre-pandemic. I did not have to care much about the oxygen I breathe and the air around me. However, I am more cautious about who I am with, what I have touched, etc.
